We help families Divorce with Dignity and Provide Personalized Estate Planning
Providing Comprehensive Divorce Mediation, Family and Estate Planning and Medicaid Planning for Individuals and Families
I believe that marriage/relationships should end with the same dignity and respect that it started with. My goal for my practice is to help improve the divorce process for couples seeking to end their marriage in a manner that shall preserve their families and reduce conflict for their children. Although the romantic partnership has ended, parents need to be able to co-exist in order to raise healthy children who can manage conflict in a peaceful and productive manner. I believe the divorce mediation process is the least detrimental for families seeking to end their marriage. A public courtroom battle is not the appropriate forum to resolve your issues relating to custody, parenting times, property division and support. A confidential and private divorce/family mediation with a highly skilled divorce mediator will help expedite your divorce, while leaving a couple in control over financial and parenting decisions for their family in a cost effective manner.
We take a personalized approach to the practice of Estate Planning. I pride myself on taking the time to listen closely to our clients so that we can gain a thorough understanding of their concerns, goals and choices. Then, we design and implement a customized plan to meet our clients’ particular needs.
At the Law office of Polly Tatum, we help our valued clients find solutions to their most pressing concerns and dearest hopes for their future. We help families and individuals find answers to questions such as:
- How can I protect my life savings?
- How can I ensure that people of my choosing will be able to make financial and health care decisions on my behalf if I become incapacitated.
How can I be sure that my assets will go to the people I want to receive them, and not someone else?
- How can I make sure that my children have the appropriate guardian in place?

- I provide Divorce Mediation and Wills and Trusts to Families. However, we do it a bit differently than most of the Divorce Mediators and Estate Planning lawyers around town. We focus on serving families with Children. I chose this focus when I learned that most lawyers who do Divorce Work and Estate planning are not specifically trained to serve families with children. The single most important desire that families have whether they are divorcing or creating an estate plan, is to protect your children and not leave decisions about your family up to a Judge. My passion is making sure that my clients and their children's needs are met in the event of divorce or death. We pride ourselves on handling over 4000 divorce mediations being a pioneer in the field in Massachusetts. Additionally we serve families from Second Parent Adoptions to Paying for Nursing Home Care.
