Bar Memberships: New York State 1970, SDNY 1973, EDNY 1973, 2d Circuit 1975, US Supreme Court 2014. Peter Wang found himself drawn to the law field directly out of high school. After Queens College, he pursued a law degree from St. John's Law School where he served as various class officers. ?Following law school, he practiced law in a variety of fields and then started his own practice. He was employed as an attorney by the New York Stock Exchange, Enforcement Department and by two large, major wirehouses where he was responsible for a myriad of legal matters, including securities arbitrations. He was selected as a member of the Securities Disputes Panel of the Legal Referral Service of the New York City Bar Association, although he not a panel member at this time. He has been active with the Securities and Exhange Committee of the New York County Lawyers' Association where initiated, developed and chaired a four evening seminar on securities arbitrations. He has served as an arbitrator in securities arbitrations. In addition to representing claimants in securities arbitration, Mr. Wang also represents respondents in securities arbitrations, provided, of course, there is no conflict of interest. Because he has a background in securities litigation under the federal securities acts, including representative class and deriviative actions, he brings an added depth of understanding and skill to securities arbitrations. The reader is referred this website's Securities and Other Substantial Litigation. Mr. Wang has also practiced in the New York State Courts. He handled hundreds of landlord tenant cases when he was with the New York City Housing Authority and in his own practice. When he was with the New York City Housing Authorirty, he handled landlord representation only. He has represented landlords and tenants on a wide array of issues, almost to numerous to mention. However, for instance, he has represented tenants in holdover proceedings.
