Paul Ylvisaker is an amazing attorney who will provide the best services. After losing my first attorney, paul Ylvisaker took my case, even after receiving no knowledge about my case. He was able to provide help better than my first attorney and never took no as an answer. He is a good and positive support throughout the entire case, even during the rough periods. He will give his best advice and the resources needed. He is. Really great attorney and one i completely recommend to anybody. I have not had to get services from many attorneys, but he is the best one i have ever encountered.

Look no further than Paul Ylvisaker Paul assumed the responsibilities of my case after I fired my previous attorney and my only regret is that I didn't find him much sooner. During our initial consult he listened! He let me tell my story and the difficulties I was facing and most importantly he managed my expectations openly and honestly. His ability to understand your priorities, work tirelessly on your behalf, and provide you with consistent and timely updates is unmatched. Sometimes you just want to be heard in court and Paul's your man to do it. I understood that some of my requests could potentially be shot down - he gave me the pros and cons to bringing them up, but ultimately let the decision be mine and that was refreshing. At the end of the day I'm finally divorced and most importantly, I have joint custody of my beautiful little girl. I couldn't be happier and neither will you.

Biography

Retired judge advocate with 30 years of legal experience whose extensive family law practice includes representation of clients in legal matters for adoption, paternity, child support, divorce with or without children, custody, and post-decree modification of orders for legal decision-making and parenting time.
I specialize in representation of men in women in uniform. Over a 28 year career with United States Army I started as a young infantry private, rising to the rank of SSG before selection to Officer Candidate School and a "butter-bar" commission risising to company CDR. After attending law school I reentered active duty as a Judge Advocate.
I began my legal career as a prosecutor and was immediately drawn to the court room. I worked tirelessly to be an exceptional attorney, representing clients aggressively with compassion, integrity, and honesty. I achieved my ambitions, consistently achieving better than expected results for my clients over the years.
The army was my "home" for 12 years, but I left active duty in 1997, serving another 15 years as a reservist. In the private sector I held positions as outside counsel to Fortune 500 companies, senior associate in a highly respected firm, corporate executive, and even government official. My practice included representing clients in a variety of practice areas before a multitude of courts and tribunals, each with their own unique practice requirements. I credit hard work, exceptional mentorship, and great staff for my success over a long career.
I activated from the reserves from 2009-12, completing 3 successive tours in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom. I took off my uniform for the last time in 2012 and chose Southern Arizona as my home for the warmth, values, and rich diversity, along with the friendliness.

75 Questions Answered
Q. Hello,my ex wants me to get a dna to prove paternity and get me for child support
A: Depends. With the ex-boyfrien on the birth cerificate, there is a presumption he is the father; it is not conclusive evidence, but certainly compelling. Yhe amount of time that has transpired and the circumstances are a little suspect. Nevertheless, if you voluntarily submitted to a paternity test or the Court ordered it and you were found to be the biological father you would be responsible for child support and possibly past child support for a specified period of time by law if the court ordered. There are factors that go into that determination that are beyond the scope of this answer. The facts you described would weigh heavily in that decision. Given the circumstances you described, and only those I might be inclined to advise you to not take the paternity test unless ordered by a court. I do advise you to seek counsel to have your options explained in more detail.
Q. Custody/divorce paper does not include taxes. Now being threatened with jail for claiming 1 of 3 children. Best option?
A: You are not going to jail, nor likely to face consequences. If the order is silent, then you have as much right to claim as the other parent. I would get the order amended by consent if you can agree or the court can do it for you.
Q. Is it possible for a judge to grant visitations unsupervised to a child that has not had a relationship with her father?
A: To add to the gentleman’s comments, often re-unification therapy with parent and child can be recommended and endorsed by the court as a pre-cursor to unsupervised parenting time. That may be coupled with age-appropriate child development counseling, beneficial to give the non-custodial parent tools to manage interactions, expectations, and issues that can arise in parenting. Most parents learn by trial and error, peer, and family support. Those may not be available to parent and a coach or therapist who’s goal is the success of the parent-child relationship can be a great help.
