Paul A. Young
Attorney Young received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Alabama School of Law in 1979 and was admitted to the Alabama State Bar that same year. Mr. Young is an active member of the Coffee County Bar Association where he served as President from 1987 to 2003. He is also an active member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL), National College for DUI Defense, and Georgia Criminal Defense Lawyers Association (GCDLA). He is a lifetime member of the Alabama Criminal Defense Lawyers Association (ACDLA) where he served on the board of directors for more than ten years and served as President in 2017. Mr. Young is the 1994 recipient of the Clarence Darrow Award presented by the Alabama State Bar for his contributions in defending people charged with criminal offenses. In 2004 and 2007, he received the ACDLA President's Award, and in 2009 he was the recipient of the Roderick Beddow Lifetime Achievement Award for Criminal Defense; the most prestigious award given by the ACDLA for service in the criminal defense field.
