Divorce hurts, but it doesn't have to be nasty.
Welcome! While I loved my work for the Georgia Child Support Commission, I missed representing clients and helping them resolve their cases. It is my goal to help my client do what is best for their family - especially their children. That is why I have joined the firm of Meriwether & Tharp, LLP, whose advertisements say "Divorce is hard, but it doesn't have to be nasty." I absolutely agree with this philosophy. First of all, the parties can reach an agreement that will be better for the family than what a judge might order. Second, it saves the clients money. Third, it is easier emotionally on the parties and their children.
I currently serve on the Children and the Courts Committee of the State Bar of Georgia. I have also recently been asked to serve on the Parenting Time Committee for the Georgia Child Support Commission, to study whether it's time for Georgia to adopt a parenting time formula.
