Professional Experience
- Current
My general civil practice concentrates on contract, employment, discrimination, bankruptcy, insurance, litigation and general business law. In addition, I work with both individual and corporate clients on their employment law needs which can include unemployment hearings, unemployment appeals, creating employment policies and procedures, addressing disciplinary issues, overtime pay, exempt status, and wage and hour violations. I am experienced in handling local, state and federal complaints involving discrimination, harassment, wrongful discharge, ERISA, COBRA, DOL and EEOC issues. I also handle general civil legal matters affecting individuals such as wills, probate and collections. My work often includes drafting and negotiating all types of contracts, as well as working with business clients in fulfilling their duties and obligations regarding federal contract compliance. My clients know that I am always available to meet their minor and major emergencies and I excel at developing cost effective legal strategies that incorporate their business, financial and legal needs into a cohesive action plan. Because of my substantial trial and business experience, I am able to factor both the client's needs and probable litigation outcome into my evaluations. This translates to informed client decisions.
