Not pleasant outcome.
So I had the displeasure of having this attorney represent me in a criminal matter on a court appointed basis. I was a 1st time Felon who committed a crime while under the influence of a substance. It was me VS the people/State of Michigan as the person
who was the Victim did not want to prosecute me; the person only wanted me to seek treatment and get help 4 my addiction. Lawyers most likely always do 3 things. Answer "No" to all your questions. Delay everything and try and Settle everything. My charge most likely could have been lowered to a less serious charge, etc with more effort on Ms. Johnson's part. My background was clean and even the other party only wanted me to get help as she even testified to this manner in court. Bottom line if Ms. Johnson is your attorney --especially in a court appointed manner CHOOSE ANOTHER ATTORNEY. Hindsight being 20/20 (me having a clear head, etc and my jurisprudence now being above the average person) I NEVER had a chance once she got appointed as my attorney. Now my life is pretty much in shambles especially financially because I'm unable to get a decent paying job to support myself like I did historically because of the nature of my felony. Listen, I know it's mostly my fault because I succomed to an addiction but things could have been done better in the court room by this attorney is all I'm saying. Also I will say in Ms. Johnson's defense (haha now I'm the Attorney) because of my lack of knowledge on court appointed attorneys maybe all COURT APPOINTED attornies are like Ms. Johnson was on my case? Anyways, information is power. You decide.
