Biography

I help individuals and businesses manage their legal risks. This includes a significant number of companies based or doing business in Arizona. My practice includes resolving and litigating all manner of contract-based and business related disputes from debtor/creditor issues to disputes between owners/shareholders to employment, real estate and construction related matters. I also negotiate and draft all manner of contracts and agreements, and have served as a private mediator in both state court and bankruptcy court cases. In every representation my goal is to complete the scope of work required in the most expedient and economical manner possible, with a goal to meet or exceed client expectations. My pragmatic approach to solving legal issues looks for the practical solution as full scale litigation may not be in the client’s best interests.

I also blog about legal and business issues at businesslawguy's blog:

Q. Me and my wife are buying a house my credit is not too good the loan is in her name they want me to sign a disclaimer
A: The prior response is correct. This occurs where one spouse has bad credit. Once the sale goes through your wife can (or not) deed the home into both of your names.
Q. A seller is unable to sell do to previous recording errors. We have entered into a sales contract before being informed.
A: You should be able to work with a title company and or attorney to resolve the issues. The title company should be the starting point to find out what corrective documents need to be recorded before a deed transferring the property to you can be recorded.
Q. I am a black card member at planet fitness and have not gone in 7 months and will be charged a cancellation fee.
A: If you signed a contract that is where you need to start. It would speak to cancellation fees and dues. I doubt there is a basis to request return of the dues for the past 7 months.
