His practice is focused in the areas of general corporate law, real estate law, oil and gas, and general litigation. Nathan began his career at the firm in 2002. Since starting at the firm, Nathan has been named as a Top Business Leader Under 40 by the Tuscarawas County Chamber of Commerce (2007) and has been named one of Ohioâs Rising Stars (2009) by Cincinnati Magazine Ohio Super Lawyers â Rising Stars Edition Â® and superlawyers.com. Nathanâs real estate practice focuses on representing clients in real estate transactions, including sales, leases and financing arrangements. Nathan regularly negotiates and drafts purchase agreements, commercial leases, Home Ownerâs Association regulations, restrictive covenants, mortgage agreements and financing agreements. Nathan also assists general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and builders with mechanicâs lien issues, construction dispute resolution, and contract terms and conditions. Nathan has also served as an oil and gas attorney for the firm, and works closely with Attorney William G. Williams in the firm’s oil and gas practice. As an oil and gas attorney, Nathan represents both landowners and producers. Nathan has been heavily involved in the Utica Shale leasing activity northeast Ohio, and has represented hundreds of landowner's in negotiating their Utica Shale lease agreement . Nathan has assisted many landowners and producers in clearing title to their Utica Shale and oil and gas rights. Nathan also assists producers in the preparation and negotiation of assignments, subleases, revolving loan agreements and joint venture agreements. Nathanâs corporate practice focuses on small and medium sized privately held companies. Nathan assists clients in all aspects of their business, including business formation, entity selection, asset acquisitions, stock sales, buy-sell agreements, minority shareholder disputes and closing down and dissolving their business. Nathan also practices in the firmâs litigation section, where he focuses on general commercial litigation, real estate and estate litigation.
