Nate Casper Blanchard
Nate began working for AKW Law as an Associate Attorney in the Fall of 2021. Before law school, Nate worked as a lobbyist for the student government of the University of Washington Bothell campus. As a lobbyist, he joined a coalition of similarly suited students to help pass voter rights bills, including automatic voter registration, same day voter registration, and prepaid postage for mailed ballots. His time as a lobbyist forged a passion to advocate for progressive causes.
During law school, Nate turned his attention towards workers’ rights. In the Summer of 2019, he worked as an intern for the Unemployment Law Project where he successfully reversed denials of unemployment benefits for numerous clients. Next, throughout much of 2021, he joined the Public School Employees of Washington's office of general counsel as an intern. While at this labor union, Nate defended local bargaining units and helped employees recover unpaid wages.
In addition, Nate served on the Student Bar Association, was an Associate Editor for the American Indian Law Journal, and competed in the Tausend Moot Court Competition.
