Muniza Bawaney, Esq. is an Attorney at Law First LLC and primarily practices in the areas of personal injury, corporate and small business legal services, civil litigation, estate planning and real estate matters. Ms. Bawaney holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and Business Administration summa cum laude from DePaul University, where she was elected to the Beta Gamma Sigma National Honor Society for Accredited Business Programs. She earned her Juris Doctorate degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law, graduating at the top 5% of her class with high honors and was further distinguished by being inducted into the Order of the Coif. Among other accomplishments, Ms. Bawaney won an award for preparing the Best Legal Marketing Plan by the Legal Marketing Association. She also received an award for having the highest grade in Securities Regulations. In 2005, Ms. Bawaney served as a judicial extern to the Honorable James F. Henry in the Commercial Law Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County. In 2006, she was featured in the American Bar Association's September issue of Student Lawyer Magazine. While in law school, Ms. Bawaney served on the Chicago-Kent Law Review and authored an article that was published in the Law Review. In 2007, Ms. Bawaney's article was favorably quoted and cited multiple times in a brief to the Supreme Court of the United States by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. In 2008, she was even recognized in author Ari L. Kaplan's book, The Opportunity Maker. Prior to joining Law First, Ms. Bawaney was an Associate Attorney at the prestigious big law firm of Jenner & Block LLP In Chicago, Illinois.
