Muneeb Zia

He is a corporate lawyer with 24 years of diversified legal experience. He started working as an attorney at prestigious law firms and chambers, and is presently a Partner in private practice. He rendered legal services in almost all fields of law and specializes in banking & finance, companies & contracts, business transactions, foreign direct investment, oil & gas, energy projects, public sector entities and legislative reforms. He handled major commercial transactions and legal assignments for a number of local and foreign clients. He has been advising the Federal and Provincial Governments of Pakistan on law and policy reforms. He regularly advises the Federal Ministry of Finance on laws of anti-money laundering, banking & finance, corporate entities, counter financing of terrorism and international cooperation. He advised the Federal Government on acquisition, transfer and liquidation of bad-debt portfolios of state-owned banks. He rendered a number of AML/CFT trainings to the law enforcement agencies. He was consulted by UNODC, World Bank, IFC, ADB & Harvard Law School on reform of banking, commercial & financial laws. He lectured on business and commercial laws at a leading law university and business studies college. He holds LLM degree from London, UK; and BA & LLB degrees and Diploma in French Language from Lahore, Pakistan.
