Biography

When I first received my drivers license, I was pulled over and searched without legal cause. This violation of my rights has fueled my passion to fight for persons accused of crimes they didn't commit or defend cases where law enforcement has overstepped their legal authority. This drive continues to motivate me to be prepared in court, fight for my clients, and remain on top of the educational components of my field. This excellence is reflected by the Continuing Education of the Bar (CEB) selection to have me co-author a chapter on chemical test evidence in the book Scientific Evidence in California Criminal Cases.

Legal Answers
111 Questions Answered
Q. When do points "fall off" the DMV record
A: The points accrue (go on your record) when the conviction occurs, meaning that, until you are convicted the points aren't on your driving record, the three years starts running at the point you are convicted.
Q. Do points on my CA DL stay 3 years and 3 months after the conviction date in court or the time had been started counting
A: Any points that are placed on your driving record start when you are convicted, not cited.
Q. DUI dating back to 2011. Should I wait the 10-year period?
A: The DUI suspension won't go away with the passage of time, it will remain in place until it is cleared, period. You can call Mandatory Actions in Sacramento (1.916.657.6525) to determine what needs to be done but judging from your question you know what you have to do.
