Mr. Brent D. Meyer
Mr. Meyer is a founding partner of the Meyer Law Group and oversees the daily operations of the firm. He primarily practices in the area of consumer bankruptcy, with a focus on debtor rights in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13.
While in law school, Mr. Meyer was a full-time judicial extern for the Honorable Michael S. McManus, Chief Bankruptcy Judge in the Eastern District of California, Sacramento Division. He also received the prestigious American College of Bankruptcy Award as the Distinguished Law Student in the Ninth Circuit, received the Loren S. Dahl Scholarship for Excellence in Bankruptcy Law, was selected for membership in the Roger J. Traynor Honor Society, received the Witkin Award for Academic Excellence for the highest overall grade in his Legal Research and Writing course, studied Fundamental Rights in the United States and Europe under Associate Justice Anthony M. Kennedy in Salzburg, Austria, and served as a comment writer on the Global Business & Development Journal.
Mr. Meyer holds a Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, and a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration, cum laude, dual emphasis in Information Systems and International Business, from the University of Southern California. He is admitted to practice before the California State Court, and Federal Courts of California located in the Eastern District and the Northern District.
