Michelle McCarthy
Michelle McCarthy is a partner and founding member of Murray & McCarthy Law, located in Denver, Colorado and specializes in real estate law, tax law, estate law, and business law. Ms. McCarthy received her Masters in Taxation from the University of Denver after completing law school.
Ms. McCarthy is the Secretary of the Tax Law Section of the Colorado Bar Association, and is a board member for the Executive Council of the Colorado Bar Association. She is a published author of recent federal, state, and local tax law changes, and testifies at the Colorado legislature regarding upcoming tax, estate, real estate, and business legislation affecting Colorado citizens.
Prior to founding Murray & McCarthy, Ms. McCarthy worked at Gantenbein Law Firm practicing business law, real estate law, tax law, and estate law. Ms. McCarthy is currently undefeated at the Colorado Court of Appeals on any appeal she drafted when litigating the underlying action.
Ms. McCarthy is the head of litigation at the firm, and enjoys her time in the courtroom.
Starting in January, 2020, Ms. McCarthy will be teaching Accounting for Lawyers at the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law.
In her free time she enjoys hiking, yoga, and is an avid football fan.
