Biography

Michael Zisser graduated from Boston University, magna cum laude, with a degree in English and Philosophy in 2007. He then earned a Masters Degree in English Literature from NYU prior to attending Hofstra Law School where he graduated cum laude, was a member of the Hofstra Law Review and was President and Editor-in-Chief of the Moot Court Board. While in law school, Michael received an award for outstanding appellate advocacy and was selected by the faculty to represent the law school as student advocate in the US Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces in the case United States v. Gooch. He has been published in several academic journals and has received several awards for writing, including the Award for Writing Excellence in the Humanities for his senior thesis while at Boston University.

Since joining his firm in 2011, Michael has won a number of motions dealing with complex legal issues in the areas of personal injury and medical malpractice, including issues of municipal liability, New York's labor law, general negligence, premises liability and the Shipowner's Limitation of Liability Act.
