Biography

My name is Michael S. Nakh, and I am a first-generation attorney. My path to practicing law began under challenging circumstances when I was sued for around a million dollars by a con artist shortly after opening my first business. This experience placed immense stress on both me and my family. It was then that I realized my calling was to pursue a career in law to assist not only myself, but also others who might find themselves in similar predicaments.

Unlike many attorneys, my background is not solely in law. Having had a different career before becoming an attorney provides me with unique insights into various industries and the people within them. I believe this diverse experience enhances my understanding and approach to legal issues.

I earned my Juris Doctorate and subsequently passed the California Bar Exam, the First Year Law Student Exam (commonly referred to as the Baby Bar), and the Multi State Professional Responsibility Exam, all on my first attempt. Beyond practicing law, I am also dedicated to educating the next generation of lawyers as a law professor and mentor.

Outside of my professional life, I cherish spending time with my family, producing music, hiking, and relaxing in the mineral waters of Desert Hot Springs.

Q. I dropped off my dog at Petco for grooming. When I picked up the dog she had it cut that required five Staples.
A: Hello Justia User From San Francisco,

You possibly could recover an amount from Petco because this could have happened due to Petco's negligence. For example if they did not properly train an employee, if they hired an employee with a bad history, did not let go of an employee who had many instances of wrongful conduct, and more. You should consult with attorneys who handle personal injury cases. Keep in mind almost all personal injury attorneys handle cases on a contingency basis which means they only get paid a percentage of the total if they succeed in obtaining you a recovery either through settlement or trial. If you have trouble finding an attorney who will take your case your next best route would be to seek remedy through small claims. Under the small claims route generally attorneys are not allowed to represent parties, there is less restriction on what type of evidence is allowed, and it is less formal. ... Read More
