Michael Palmer
Quick, fair, and cost-effective dispute resolution
A fellow of the American Bar Foundation, Mike Palmer is the founder and president of Legal Risk Management AI (LRM). LRM helps organizations prevent legal disputes and resolve them wisely, fairly, and cost-effectively. LRM has a variety of tools and resources with which users can calculate the present financial value or risk of a lawsuit, devise litigation strategies, and reduce the cost of litigation.
Before moving to Vermont to found his own firm, Mike practiced law as a litigator with Jenner & Block in Chicago. He has been a negotiation specialist and mediator since completing the Harvard Program on Negotiation headed by Roger Fisher in 1992 and a leader in both the American and Vermont Bar Association Dispute Resolution Sections. Mike’s consulting practice has included work for Fortune 500 companies, Big 4 accounting firms, medical care facilities, and government agencies in the U.S. and around the world.
Mike created the Case Value & Risk Analyzer, a software program that helps parties analyze and compute the financial value and risk of a lawsuit from each side’s perspective. This Multi-View Analysis™ is more transparent than decision-tree software, allows the user to examine unlimited what-if scenarios, and provides insights into the other side’s likely thinking.
