A lawyer who helps human beings who get hurt.As a lawyer I take pride and enjoy helping people. Mostly, I protect people from big insurance companies who fail to act reasonably by not paying a fair amount for injury claims. My personal injury experience goes back 30 plus years, when I started out working for my father’s law firm litigating cases. When I became a lawyer almost 16 years ago I chose not to go into many fields of which I have experience, including real estate law and bankruptcy litigation. I chose to help people in the criminal law arena, civil rights, and personal injury. Eventually, I paired down my practice to personal injury, including chronic pain cases, traumatic brain injury and wrongful death. I still help clients in criminal courts with mental health issues. My philosophy of practice completely changed for the better after attending Trial Lawyers College in Wyoming in July 2013, and grad programs in 2014, and 2015. I have attended numerous other trial colleges including LACBA, OCTLA, AAJ Trial College in Tuscaloosa Alabama, Trial By Human seminar, Trial Lawyers University program in Las Vegas, Gary Dordick’s Trial College in 2021. I also attend Traumatic Brain injury conferences in San Diego and Los Angeles annually. I try to constantly stay current on trial techniques, case law, and current affairs on a daily basis. I enjoy what I do and play hard when I’m not working, including surfing regularly, refereeing youth, high school, and adult soccer leagues, and enjoying my family. Balancing my time, which is very limited is important to me. I always find a way to seek new travel experiences, surf breaks and friendship. Life is too short to live with chronic pain or disability, so I try to convert that timeline philosophy to people I represent. There are people who experience high levels of pain or emotional loss daily and need help, so I do my best to help them if I can. I train my paralegals and staff to do the same.
