Filing bankruptcy is an anxious situation made less stressful with a good attorney. There's a lot of confusing paperwork in bankruptcy but Michael made the process easy and less frightening. He took the time to answer all my questions, meeting with me when I needed help and giving me good advice and guidance every step of the way. When I had to go to court, he stood next to me and spoke for me, which meant a lot as I'd never been to court before. Bankruptcy is a distressing situation but having someone in my corner who was nonjudgmental, gave good advice and helped me through the process took the sting out of a legal necessity.

106 Questions Answered
Q. If I have shared parental responsibility with father in another state can he take her out of state without my permission
A: You need to take a look at your parenting plan as it should address travel. Usually if a parent wishes to travel with their children during their timesharing they would need to notify the other parent of the dates for travel, the location they are going, tavel information such as flight info etc, as well as a number where they can be reached. If the travel is going to effect the other parents timesharing they would need to have that parents permission for travel during those dates or they can risk being held in contempt for violating the parenting plan. Again, I recommend you look at your parenting plan and if there is any issue contact a local family law attorney to assist you.
Q. How likely is it my kids would be taken if the abuse in the home was reported?
A: It sounds like you need to try and move out of the home and get away from the toxic environment. If you believe that a child is being abused, abandoned, or neglected, you should contact the department of children and families.
Q. Divorced in Florida in 2008. In the division of assets list for a 401k never transferred
A: Given there is contradicting language in the agreement, in the event litigation arises from these issues, the court may allow you to present evidence to support each of your intent when the agreement was executed. This can be emails, text messages, testimony, etc. Just as Mr. Lieber stated in his response, I would recommend keeping it for now if it was each of your intents for you to have it originally and let her litigate the issue if she wants to fight for it.
