In 2016 and again in 2017, Mike was honored to serve as the president of the Carrollwood Bar Association. Mike is an active and supporting member of several other legal and business organizations including the Carrollwood Area Business Association, Tampa Bay Trial Lawyers Association, Hillsborough County Bar Association, and Florida Justice Association. Mike graduated from the University of Florida and South Texas College of Law (Houston, Texas). Mike is a second-generation Tampa native and lives in Original Carrollwood, less than a mile from the home he grew up in. Mike has been married to his wife and law partner, Claire Hancock, for over 30 years, and they have two adult daughters, Hannah and Grace. Mike enjoys saltwater fishing, off-road biking, water skiing, and anything with the Florida Gators (Go Gators!).
