My training as both a prosecutor and defense attorney gives me the ability to know what the other side is thinking and better defend DUI cases. Working for my family law firm familiarized me with civil law but making a foray into criminal law with the City of Atlanta Municipal Court led to my true passion in criminal law specifically DUI, drug and traffic cases.
I have been invited by other county prosecutors to be a guest instructor for DUI instruction courses at both the Georgia Public Safety and Training Center and various county locations. I also had the opportunity to design and teach a DUI class at the Atlanta Police Department Training Center, and assisted in redesigning the current DUI court system with the City of Atlanta Municipal Court. My training at the Georgia Public Safety and Training Center (GPSTC, the same training center where State Troopers receive their training and where all police officers supplement their training) helped me learn what both the police and State Troopers learn to make their DUI cases.
After returning to defense work, I continue to help those in need. My range of skills and training is a deadly combo to assist people charged with a DUI!

- Q. Incident report has offense date 4 days after they raided the house. Nobody was arrested at the raid
- A: I would need to see the report but for the most part if you think the date is wrong for when they made the raid you need to get the body cameras; which is done throuhg discovery.
- Q. Car insurance company totaled my car out, but only wants to pay for the rear end damage. Their client is at fault.
- A: Normally, When some is hit from behind it is the person that follows behind fault. The statute is referred to as following too closely. HOWEVER, if you have witnesses who can show that the person in front improperly stopped in the roadway (another statute) and thereby caused the accident then you can transfer fault to the hit and run driver. Not to mention where there is a hit and run it can also transfer fault.

- Q. Dui less safe drugs ticket, not pulled over,in parking lot of store
- A: There is a lot of information you have left out in order for any attorney to give you direction. However, none of it should be posted because if the prosecution finds anything they can use against you they will. You need to start calling attorneys for free consultations to see if the hiring of a attorney can help your situation; especially if you were taking prescription medications.
