Client Reviews

Melissa Gott is the most thorough and trustworthy attorney there is in Wilmington, NC. Over the last 6 years I have owned both a Development Company to Flip Real Estate as well a a Real Estate Firm where a large portion of my clients are First Time Home Buyers and Military. I have worked with numerous Law Firms in Wilmington over the years, but after working with Melissa Gott, I stopped taking my business anywhere else. She protect my projects, my company, and my clients beyond compare to any other option in Wilmington. First class, meticulous service that you can trust to protect your investment, the first time.

Q. Ive been driving less then a year & got ticket doing 55mph in a 35mph. What will happen and how much will I pay?
A: In North Carolina, a conviction for a moving violation leads to the addition of points on your driving record. These points remain on your record for three years. If you accumulate more than twelve points within a three-year period, your license will be suspended for sixty days. Additionally, if you receive another eight points within the three years following a license reinstatement, your license could be suspended for six months.

Convictions for speeding and traffic tickets also result in the assessment of insurance points. The number of insurance points you receive directly impacts your insurance rates. Accumulating points for speeding or other traffic offenses can cause your insurance premiums to increase significantly.

Best of luck!

(always remember that each case is different, so speak with an attorney with your specific facts.)
