Melissa L. Wheaton is the Founder and Principal Attorney at TEPS LAW, LLC. She is a 5th generation Florida native, originally from Jacksonville, who now calls South Florida home. Melissa concentrates her practice in the areas of taxation and estate planning.
Prior to starting TEPS LAW, LLC Melissa worked for a Fortune 260 company for over a decade representing management in collective bargaining disputes. She served as a Director of Labor Relations and Arbitration, leading a team of managers in handling arbitration of disputes, negotiating agreements, effective claim settlements of high liability cases, and providing training deliverables to internal stakeholders.
Intellectual curiosity coupled with the enactment of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 compelled Melissa to earn an LL.M. in Taxation at Boston University School of Law, where she excelled academically by maintaining an A average. Melissa’s proven professionalism, leadership abilities, and management experience are the pillars of TEPS LAW, LLC. She has built a firm dedicated to providing exemplary service and representation to her clients, no matter the size or complexity of the tax issue and/or estate planning goal.
