Mehmet Baysan

Mehmet Baysan is a partner in HB's Corporate and Government Enforcement and White Collar Criminal Defense groups. He is also a managing member of the firm. Mr. Baysan's practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, regulatory and enforcement matters. His clients include international airlines, international businesses and U.S. businesses.

Mr. Baysan regularly represents international institutions on complex civil, criminal and administrative enforcement matters including assisting foreign companies enter the U.S. market and avoid criminal and civil exposure. With experience in a wide array of corporate compliance and enforcement matters, Mr. Baysan has counseled U.S. and international companies on numerous issues arising under U.S. and foreign law. Mr. Baysan has successfully represented clients in various types of court proceedings including jury trials and appellate hearings in state and federal courts.

Mr. Baysan presents at seminars on U.S. and international law. He has been selected as a “Rising Star” by SuperLawyers for three consecutive years in 2015, 2016 and 2017. He has also been named as one of the best 40 trial lawyers under the age of 40 in the United States.
Before joining the firm, Ms. Baysan worked for a large international AmLaw100 law firm, and a boutique criminal and corporate law firm in Boston. Mr. Baysan earned his Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School with distinction in international law. He received his bachelor's degree in International Studies and History from Emory University.

Mr. Baysan speaks English and Turkish and is licensed to practice in the State of New York, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and the United States Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and for the District of Massachusetts. Mr. Baysan makes frequent appearances in various courts of all levels both in and out of the New York State.
