In my opinion, Megan is the best attorney you could have for criminal defense or family law matters. She cares deeply, communicates clearly, and advocates fiercely for her clients.
Client Reviews

Megan-Rodger’s Hasie went above and beyond and she genuinely cares about her clients. I don’t even have enough room to explain how wonderful Megan is. She is upfront and honest, has an amazing amount of confidence (which she backs up) and treated me like family. My situation with Mrs Megan Hasie was my first encounter in a situation with an attorney and it couldn’t have gone better. Needless to say, I will never separate from her. She will always be my go-to!

There are many good lawyers out there...there's only one Megan Roger-Hassie. It’s hard to write a review that does justice to the exceptional service I received from Megan. I was terrified of my ex-wife taking me to court and drawing our divorce out into a long, complicated, and expensive battle that I didn’t feel I had the emotional energy to fight. After a friend’s recommendation, I contacted Megan’s office to speak with her about my situation. Despite being on maternity leave with a newborn at home, Megan called me much quicker than I expected after I left a message with her office. The first conversation I had with her left me feeling like I’d made the right choices about my situation. More importantly, though, Megan’s confidence was – is – infectious. She had no hesitation about going to court if necessary and I knew in my head and heart that she would fight for me at every turn. Megan is knowledgeable, approachable, personable, and more than competent. In every conversation we had, she knew where we were in the process which really helped soothe my anxiety. She was my guide, my champion, and, sometimes, even my therapist. I won’t say the divorce was a good experience. But, I will say that Megan’s assertiveness gave me the confidence to move forward. Her exceptional legal acumen always kept me moving in the right direction. Megan worked very hard for me. And, in the end, we didn’t even end up in a messy court battle.

Biography

I am a criminal defense and family law attorney serving all of Mississippi. I grew up in Kansas City, Missouri and then lived in Grand Junction, Colorado for five years where I studied English Literature at Colorado Mesa University. I began my legal career as a paralegal with Hollis Law Firm in Prairie Village, Kansas, where I worked on the Xarelto, GranuFlo, Benicar, and Viagra Multi-District Litigation.
At Mississippi College School of Law I served as President of the Women's Student Bar Association, and I was a member of the Moot Court Board and Law Review. I worked as a Teaching Assistant for the Legal Analysis and Communication Department, Torts I and II, and Trial Practice. I was nominated for Ms. MC Law and received the 2020 Alumni Award. The highlight of my law school career came in April of 2020 when my article, 23andPleaseDoNotDenyMe: The Insurance Coverage Backlash Consumers Suffer When Human Identity Becomes a Commodity, was selected for publication in the 39th Volume of the Mississippi College Law Review.
In my practice, I have represented clients in a community center gymnasium in the Mississippi Delta and in the Federal Court in downtown Jackson, and just about everywhere else in the state. I have experience trying violent felony cases in Circuit Court, various family law matters in Chancery Court, and misdemeanors in Justice and Municipal Courts. I have had success negotiating satisfactory settlements in criminal and civil matters. Whether you need assistance with a misdemeanor or uncontested divorce, or you have a complex custody dispute or a felony indictment, I am available to help you to a just resolution of your case. I am grateful for every person who has trusted me with their legal matters - I know the choice of an attorney is a deeply personal decision in a very difficult season of life.
