Mauricus Lofton
Mauricus R. Lofton, Esq. is an Associate in Tully Rinckey PLLC’s Washington, DC office, where he focuses his practice on representing federal and private sector employees, in addition to criminal matters. His federal employment law practice includes successful advocacy before the MSPB in law enforcement related matters.
Prior to joining Tully Rinckey PLLC, Mauricus was an Employment Litigation Associate at Biesecker Dutkanych & Macer, LLC in Louisville, Kentucky, where he represented federal and private sector employees before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), U.S. Merit Systems Protection Board, American Arbitration Association and state and federal courts. Mauricus has represented clients in a range of matters, including employment discrimination based on age, race, disability gender and sexual orientation. He also represented clients in whistleblower actions and has extensive experience drafting EEOC position statements, serving and responding to discovery requests, defending and taking depositions, and opposing summary judgment motions. He is well versed in federal and state employment laws, and has regularly advised management-level employees on severance packages.
