: Current; American Airlines Inc. American Airlines/Amadeus IT Group Achieved a significant victory on behalf of American Airlines on a motion for a preliminary injunction filed by Amadeus IT Group that threatened to shut down a major new program American planned to launch on September 1 that has transformed the way American deals with travel agents throughout the country.

: Current; PAI Partners Crown Holdings v. Financiere Duanou Obtained a complete arbitration victory on behalf of an entity owned by PAI Partners SAS ("PAI"), one of the oldest and most experienced private equity firms in Europe, against Crown Holdings, Inc. ("Crown"), a leading manufacturer of, among other things, beverage closures. Crown sought damages from our client arising from an alleged breach of contract over the sale of a subsidiary of Crown to the PAI entity.

: Current; National Football League Players Association Gridiron.com, Inc. v. NFL Players Association Successful representation of the union for NFL players and its licensing affiliate in enforcing their exclusive licensing rights over uses of player images in groups of six or more against an Internet Web site making unauthorized use of player images. The Court granted summary judgment for the players association on all counts.

: Current; American Airlines Inc. Investigation involving passenger surcharges Represented American Airlines in investigations of a possible antitrust violation involving passenger surcharges that were made public in the summer of 2006. The Firm was able to negotiate a settlement in September 2006 of class actions relating to the passenger surcharges that involved no monetary payment to plaintiffs or their counsel.

: Current; Credit Suisse First Boston Andrew Benjamin CFSB (Benjamin)/"Hot" IPOs Successfully defended CSFB executive in connection with simultaneous investigations by the U.S. Attorney’s office, the SEC, and NASD into CSFB practices in allocating “hot” IPOs during the superheated market in 1999 and early 2000.
