Biography

Mark Lurie has over 20 years as a practicing attorney. The firm represents individuals in employment disputes, including litigating discrimination, harassment, retaliation, whistleblower, compensation/bonus/wage claims, and other employment-related disputes. We also represent employers in proactive measures to mitigate litigation risk, including preparation of policies and procedures, training and investigations.

Mark also mediates employment disputes, and is included on the roster of New Jersey civil court-approved mediators as a R.1:40 qualified mediator.

The firms also represents pharmaceutical, medical device and other healthcare entities on compliance-related issues. We help to identify risk, set up compliance programs, prepare policies, provide training, monitor high risk activities and conduct internal investigations.

Prior to forming the Law Office of Mark D Lurie LLC, Mark was the Vice President and Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer for a medium sized pharmaceutical company, where he established and ran the compliance program for all US operations for over 6 years. Before that, Mark was Corporate Compliance Officer, Associate General Counsel and Senior Employment Counsel, responsible for all litigation, employment law and sales and marketing legal matters. Before his in-house experience, Mark was a partner in the labor and employment group of a nationally renowned law firm (and was also an associate at nationally renowned law firms), where he litigated in federal and state courts and administrative agencies, conducted arbitrations and counseled clients on day-to-day employment matters.
