The same year he graduated from law school, Mr. Shumarwas admitted to the California State Bar. He began his legal career as a lawyer representing insurance companies and defending cases against individuals who had been injured in accidents. After working with the firm for four years, Attorney Shumar realized that he did not always agree with the tactics used by insurance companies, and decided to establish his own firm.
