Q. Do I have to show identification to an police officer if i wasnt involved in a crime an didnt commit a crime?
A: It is your duty to fully cooperate with any lawful demand of the police officer. However, it is his job to determine the probable cause. The probable cause is a legal word which means he has justified reasons that you are invovled or had committed or violated a law. For instance, police cannot stop every car, but if your headlight is broken, it would give them a probable cause to stop you and see from outside the contents of your car and your identification. The Hotel Security can stop you for a reasonable period of time, and inform police accordingly. Anything longer like 1-2 hours would be a false imprisonment
Q. Can you go after an ex spouse for money you put towards an old house when I received nothing on closing of the house
A: If you were not on the escrow papers, title of the home, you would get nothing. However, you always have a private cause of action as breach of contract but be prepared to face an uphill battle.
Q. Can chapter 7 personal discharged bankruptcy be amended to include my wife's debt?
A: You could have joined her earlier, or she cal file her own chapter 7 bankruptcy. In Nevada, husband and wife are responsible for each other's debt but in order for her debts to be combined debt, she should have joined you in your chapter 7 bankruptcy. If you had asked her to stay, she would be responsible for her debts herself. Once you file together chapter 7, there is only one fee required. Again, you have to declare her income in your combined income. Again, she can do her own chapter 7 bankruptcy, if she had sizable debts of her own.
