Schwartz & PosnockLESLIE B. POSNOCK is a partner in the law firm of Schwartz & Posnock. Ms. Posnock, an attorney since 1984, is licensed in the State and Federal Courts of New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and California. Ms. Posnock is a former public defender in Philadelphia and New Jersey and has extensive trial experience. Ms. Posnock has represented individuals in hundreds of cases, involving charges of murder, drugs, sexual assault, mail fraud, wire fraud, theft, forgery, kidnapping, robbery, assault, burglary, Municipal Court matters (including traffic ticket defense), and driving under the influence cases. She has successfully litigated numerous appeals and petitions for post-conviction relief. She has also represented witnesses before Federal and State Grand Juries, and has obtained expungements for her clients. Ms. Posnock was trial and appellate counsel in State of New Jersey v. Alex Grant, an important case in which her client’s indictment for murder was dismissed by the New Jersey Appellate Division. This case has been cited in numerous law review articles, subsequent legal cases, and the New Jersey Court Rules with respect to the right to the presentation of fair and unbiased grand jury testimony. Ms. Posnock has lectured on criminal law topics to the Bar Association of San Francisco Young Lawyers Division, and has written articles on criminal law topics, including “A Model Code of Conduct,” Business Crimes Bulletin, Compliance and Litigation, Vol. 1, No. 3, April 1994. While a student at the University of Pennsylvania, Ms. Posnock worked for the Hon. A. Leon Higginbotham, Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
