Leah Del Percio

I am the President, CEO, and co-founder of Trustate, a rapidly growing estate administration platform that I helped launch in 2020. Since its inception, I have played a crucial role in every facet of the company's development and expansion. Trustate offers B2B tools to a variety of stakeholders involved in the estate administration process, including law firms, wealth managers, banks, and accountants. Today, our firm is recognized as a leader in the LegalTech industry and is often highlighted as one of the top startups to keep an eye on.
Before establishing Trustate, I served as a senior Trust and Estate attorney at DLA Piper. My work there centered on assisting individuals, families, and institutions with crisis and succession planning, wealth preservation, asset protection, and intricate tax strategies. I have been honored on the Super Lawyers “Rising Stars” list several times and have been featured in various publications, with national features in both Law.com and Business Insider.
Earlier in my career, I was a senior associate at a Trusts and Estates Boutique Law Firm in NJ and NY. Before entering private practice, I worked at the JPMorgan Private Bank. I am frequently invited to lecture at various universities and law schools on trusts and estates matters, in addition to teaching continuing education CLE classes. I have also served as pro-bono counsel for the Boys and Girls Club and have represented many underserved groups in the ongoing fight for equality and civil rights. I currently reside in Tampa, FL., with my husband, Michael, and our two sons.
I hold a B.A. from the University of Miami, a J.D. from the Benjamin Cardozo School of Law, and an LL.M. in taxation from Georgetown University Law Center. I am licensed to practice in Maryland, New York, and New Jersey.
