Lauren Bryant
Lauren Bryant: Probate attorney advocate also specializing in estate planning.
Lauren Bryant graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Georgia in 2004 with dual degrees in Psychology and Criminal Justice. She attended Florida State University College of Law (2005-2006), participating in Moot Court and two legal journals, before transferring to Georgia State University College of Law, where she earned her Juris Doctor in 2008. After nearly 15 years with a small firm specializing in probate, she opened her own practice in 2021, focusing on probate and estate planning.
Before law school, Lauren was a social worker advocating for adults with developmental disabilities. During law school, she interned with the Metro-Atlanta Task Force for the Homeless and the Georgia Advocacy Office, furthering her dedication to advocacy. Her work as a Guardian ad Litem spans multiple Georgia probate courts and federal court, where she represents children and adults with special needs in guardianship, conservatorship, and probate cases. In 2022, she became a part-time judge for Fulton County Probate Court, addressing guardianship/conservatorship cases and helping reduce the pandemic backlog.
Lauren has been recognized for her legal work, including awards from the Georgia Pro Bono Project (2009, 2010), a spot in Georgia Trend's Legal Elite (2014), and being named a Super Lawyers Rising Star (2022). She frequently speaks at CLEs on probate and Guardian ad Litem topics.
Her legal practice includes guardianships, conservatorships, estate administration, year’s support petitions, heir determinations, and drafting complex estate plans, including special needs trusts.
Lauren lives in Suwanee, Georgia, with her husband, three children, two cats, and a dog. In her rare free time, she enjoys true crime podcasts, British crime dramas, and thrift shopping. Despite her height, she’s never played basketball.
