Biography

I am a senior associate with the Bell Law Group, PLLC. I graduated cum laude from NYU School of Law in 2013 and am admitted to practice law in New York and California, as well as in the Court of Federal Claims. I represent federal and private sector employees and employers in wage and hour, discrimination, sexual harassment, and other employment disputes. I also counsel employers who want to avoid litigation on compliance with state and federal employment laws.

Prior to joining Bell Law Group in 2019, I completed a fellowship with a large labor union in New York City, clerked for a federal magistrate judge, and worked as a class action litigation associate at a prominent Long Island labor and employment firm, where I helped to recover millions of dollars for thousands of workers for unpaid wages, stolen tips, unlawful deductions from wages, and other violations of state and federal employment laws.

Legal Answers
1 Questions Answered
Q. NY employer asking me to sign agreement that I am responsible for any damage to equipment, including accidental. Legal?
A: Under New York law, employers are generally not permitted to deduct from employees' pay to cover damage to company property. So even if you sign the agreement, you might have a claim for illegal deductions if your employer ever docks your pay to cover damage.
