Laura Manning-Hudson concentrates her areas of practice in condominium and community association law and construction litigation, handling a broad range of legal issues for the firm's clients. She has handled numerous trials, arbitrations and mediations, and argued before the appellate courts in the Third and Fourth District Courts of Appeal. Ms. Manning-Hudson handles all aspects of community association law including interpretation of governing documents, covenant enforcement, contract negotiation and drafting, drafting amendments to governing documents, board and membership meetings, elections and recalls, collections, fair housing issues, and insurance claims. In the construction sector, she handles turnover issues for association clients including all aspects of turnover meetings, assisting in the selection and hiring of experts, reviewing budgets and other financial records, and assisting in construction defect claims.
Ms. Manning-Hudson has been designated by The Florida Bar as a Board Certified Specialist in Condominium and Planned Development Law in the state of Florida.
Ms. Manning-Hudson is a member of various professional organizations, including the Palm Beach County Bar Association, Young Lawyers Division. She is also a member of the Gold Coast Chapter of the Community Association Institute (CAI) and served on the Board of Directors of the Southeast Florida Chapter of CAI from 2003 through 2005. Ms. Manning-Hudson is also a frequent speaker on various community association topics such as electronic voting, covenant enforcement issues, legislative updates, and board member certifications. She has also been a speaker at the Ralph E. Boyer Institute on Condominium Law – 41st Institute on Condominium and Cluster Development as well as the Advanced Condominium and Planned Development Certification Review course for the Florida Bar’s Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section.
