Summary

Kyle Manikas began his legal career practicing litigation in New York City and Washington, D.C. representing individuals and large organizations during the corporate scandals that began surfacing in 2002. In 2005, Kyle accepted a position as a prosecutor in the Fairfax County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office. During his time in the Office, Kyle handled cases ranging from drug and white collar offenses to the most serious of crimes, such as murder, aggravated malicious wounding, abduction, sexual assault, arson, and armed robbery. Kyle subsequently re-entered private practice and founded Manikas Law LLC and spent more than a decade providing legal counsel to clients in Fairfax County in criminal and immigration matters. During this time, Kyle also served as legal counsel to the Fairfax County Police Association and the approximately 1400 active and retired police officers that are members of that organization. Kyle responded to numerous officer involved use of force incidents to provide legal counsel to the officers and advised the board of directors on various legal matters. Kyle has been named to SuperLawyers and is Peer Review Rated as AV® Preeminent™ by Martindale-Hubbell. In January 2020, Kyle returned to the Office of the Fairfax County Commonwealth’s Attorney as a Deputy Commonwealth’s Attorney.
