Under investigation by the Florida Bar Hired January 2020. Paid a retainer of 900.00. Had first meeting at a restaurant and I gave him all the divorce materials that I had. He said he would file them with the court right after our meeting. I checked on the Lee County Court and he did file my case. However, in two weeks I got an email from the court saying my case was closed. I tried to contact Mr. Turner to ask why and what I needed to do. This was my procedure for the next year and a half. Mr. Turner would take days to reply. The only time he did respond was when I threatened to go to the Florida Bar. He never indicated what I needed to do. All he said was that he was working on my case and had already put many hours into it. The last correspondence I had with him he stated that he was just waiting for a court date! The court website showed no further information on my case. He completely lied. I contacted the Florida Bar and gave them all my information on how Mr. Turner handled my case. They are investigating him. The representative from the Florida Bar stated that there are others that reported him as well. I believe that he never meant to do anything with my case. He never let me know what materials the court needed to refile my case, in a year and a half! He charged me for reading and responding to my emails asking him about the progress of my case. These were not emails to help my case, they were stalling emails til I finally gave up. I hope the Florida Bar takes his license to practice so he cannot do this to anyone else.

Biography

I grew up in northern Kentucky and that is where I learned the value of hard work and compassion. My dad is a retired steel foundry laborer, I watched him come home everyday beat up, sometimes burned, and tired. My mother also worked various jobs in Northern Kentucky to provide for me and my brother. I knew at an early age that I wanted to earn my living helping working people and families like my own. I am very proud to say that I am a first generation attorney. I graduated from Campbell County High School, Northern Kentucky University, and then attended law school at Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan where I earned my Juris Doctorate. While attending law school, I got my first courtroom experience working for the late Robert Jacobs as a Certified Legal Intern in the Public Defender's Office in Fort Myers, Florida. My past experiences have shaped how I view the world today and I am extremely proud of my blue collar roots. I gained a wealth of knowledge and experience while working for Associates and Bruce L. Scheiner, a top personal injury firm in Fort Myers, Florida. I will forever be indebted to the Sheiner's for trusting me to be a part of their challenging fast paced environment. I then went to work in Naples, Florida for Scott Martin Roth and Associates, as my heart was drawing me back the criminal defense world and the rewarding work of family law.
