Biography

I am the former Judge of the 9th Judicial District Court. While serving as Judge, I presided over numerous, large, complex civil and criminal trials. I saw the mistakes people made when trying to convince a court and am here to offer my years of experience to help you avoid making those same mistakes. I believe in putting families first and emphasize making long term decisions that are best for you and your children. Divorce hurts but it shouldn't be nasty. I am focused on resolving disputes and helping families reach creative solutions to divorcing in these complex times. We are here to help you and provide you with the advice and perspective that comes from handling hundreds of cases similar to yours over the past 2 decades. This may be your first divorce but I have handled hundreds of them and can help you navigate the pitfalls of the legal process. Our team structure allows for you to remain informed during the entire process and you will receive numerous updates from us communicating what is going on as well as sending you copies of communications and providing you with the opportunity to review documents in your case before they are filed. Nothing is filed or goes out without your approval. I want you to focus on getting back to your "normal" while we handle the legal issues.

Q. Property after divorce with no quitclaim deed. What are my options?
A: First, this is probably not something you are going to handle without legal representation. You should hire a lawyer to assist you as this is likely to become very complex if the Original Orders and Decree did not specify the remedial action to be taken in this instance. Sounds like no lawyer was involved the firs time around. Hope I am wrong about that but no way to fix it now unless you are familiar with declaratory judgments. It can be fixed but if she is going to contest it, you are really going to need a lawyer as this is a little too complex for the average person to try and accomplish. Second, there is not enough information in your post to be able to give you definitive answer but it appears that you are going to have to return to the originating court and ask for that original Order to be "clarified." Alternatively, you may have to have it modified. But this is not something that can be explained in the amount of space given here so you really are better off getting the advice of a lawyer that has had the opportunity to examine all of the details. ... Q. Hello,my ex wants me to get a dna to prove paternity and get me for child support
A: Unless you have been ordered to provide a DNA sample by the Court, I would not agree to do one voluntarily, especially since you have suspicions that the child is not yours. As always, I suggest you actually spend the time and money consulting with a lawyer and providing them with all of the facts in your case. It is the only way to obtain a useful answer that you can rely upon. If the child is yours, you will pay child support, eventually.
Q. I'm filing for a divorce, my husband owns his own company, it is a S corp for tax purposes, we file our person taxes
