- Ms. Massey received her B.A. from Colby College
- with honors, with honors, in 1988, where she was an editor of the University of Pennsylvania Law Review. She also received the Benjamin R. Jones Award for Humanity and Law, and was a Wilson Fellow and an Olin Fellow in the Institute for Law and Economics, serving as a research and teaching assistant at the University of Pennsylvania Law School. She is admitted to the New York bar and is also admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York, as well as before the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
