I have assisted clients in various stages of litigation and recognize that the approach to resolving legal matters is as outdated as the law itself. I have a doctorate in psychology, and bring to my practice an expertise in human psychology. Understanding the high emotional tone and complex nature of human interaction when legal matters arise, I offer my clients and my community a modern, practical, compassionate, and client-focused law practice which addresses traditional needs and provides modern, meaningful results.
Many years as a Professor of Psychology have given me insight into human behavior and an understanding of what people need. I have partnered with individuals suffering from human rights violations and victims of bias and discrimination, families in crisis, persons involved in criminal matters, with families working toward settlement through mediation, and I have litigated as an Attorney for Child in high-conflict cases. ?I am experienced in representing diverse families confronting change and minors in matters involving divorce, custody and visitation, child support, adoption, and minor rights.
As a business owner and management consultant, I have experienced the many legal concerns long-term business ownership involves. I have worked with business owners in various stages of practice, from assisting startups establish legal entities and build frameworks to support growing organizations, to drafting and negotiating NDAs and contracts to secure services agreements and investor funding. I also deliver business leadership workshops to entrepreneurs and have worked with business management teams to advise ongoing compliance strategies.
My practice of law merges expertise gained through my research and education with principals of justice, negotiation, and progress. I am an adjunct Professor of Psychology. I am an active, passionate advocate for each of my clients, bringing workable solutions to each and every client.
