Kalpana Nagampalli

Kalpana Nagampalli joined Kakar, P.C. in April 2017. She litigates contract disputes, copyright, trademarks, unfair competition, rights of publicity, advertising, and related matters in federal, state, trial, and appellate courts throughout the United States.
?Kalpana counsels clients on all commercial and IP-related matters, including breach of contract, employment disputes, copyright, trademark, patent, rights of publicity, advertising, and brand enforcement. In addition to counseling clients, she manages discovery, mediation, motion practice, pleadings, and litigation management, and collaborates with in-house counsel on legal solutions. She also negotiates and drafts contracts, and intellectual property agreements, including licenses and coexistence agreements.In the past fifteen years, she has worked with clients from industries such as entertainment, apparel, graphic design, art, photography, textiles, fashion companies, jewelry, home decor, restaurants, beverage, luxury goods, beauty products, publishing, and start-ups. She received her Bachelor of Socio-Legal Sciences and Laws from the Indian Law Society's Law College and continued her legal studies at the University of Pennsylvania Law School, earning her Master of Laws in Corporate and Intellectual Property. Prior to joining Kakar, P.C., Kalpana was a Senior Litigation Associate with a mid-town intellectual property firm for over ten years.
Kalpana is admitted to the New York State Bar, Southern District of New York, Eastern District of New York, United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and the Supreme Court of United States.
