He has owned, operated and managed over 10 businesses during the past three decades. He has owned a greenhouse nursery business with a fleet of Commercial Motor Vehicles, owned a farming operation, managed a timber harvesting business, owned a computer repair and consulting business, operated a home mortgage business, owned a photography business and owned an insurance business. In addition to his law practice, Adams currently owns a tax accounting business, a real estate investment business, a real estate sales business and co-owns a local newspaper. He has served a county commissioner since 1996. Adams has been married since 1990. He has two children and one grandchild. Adams has authored two books; one is about being successful and the other is a children's book.
