Ms. Selleck's practice is solely that of a mediator, helping parties to settle complex civil matters - she does not represent individual clients. Mediation may be scheduled at locations convenient to the parties throughout California.
Confidential and private online video mediations are also available, at a reduced fee, while the current "stay at home" orders remain in place.
Ms. Selleck has more than 30 years' experience litigating and advising clients concerning commercial and individual civil cases. As a mediator, cases have involved disputes in numerous different subject areas including insurance claims and bad faith, employment, HOA's, commercial contracts, landlord-tenant; torts; premises liability, property damage/theft; construction deficiencies, consumer disputes, business disputes, homeowner disputes, discrimination, among others.
Prior to commencing her mediation practice, Ms. Selleck had extensive experience representing clients involved in significant property insurance and bad faith disputes, many involving highly technical issues leading to disagreements as to coverage, causation, valuation of damages, policy exclusions, underwriting, duties as between multiple layers of coverage/participating insurers, appraisal, terms and conditions of insurance policies and subrogation.
Ms. Selleck has been a frequent lecturer, instructor, seminar/webinar presenter for bar associations, trade groups, insurance companies and attorneys. Her experience includes responsibilities for HR related issues and marketing while acting as office managing partner for 3 regional offices of a national law firm.
Panel appointments include San Diego Superior Court panel of mediators for civil cases; California Dept. of Insurance. panel of mediators for wildfire insurance claim disputes.
