Miller Family Law
Jeremy R. Miller is an experienced trial attorney. He has worked as a solo practitioner, in a small litigation firm, and at a top consulting firm in Washington, D.C. He has 10 years of experience in client relations and high pressure conflict resolution. He has experience in all areas of divorce and family law, estate planning, contract and business disputes, personal injury, and real estate. He has been the second chair on several jury and bench trials, and first chair at hearings before Utah Family Law Commissioners and Judges.
In May 2007, Jeremy earned his J.D. from Syracuse University and a Masters in Public Administration (MPA) from the prestigious Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University. Here, the school selected him to join the Moot Court Honor Society. During his second year in law school, Jeremy was an associate editor of the Journal of International Law and Commerce. He was also selected for two competitive scholarships/Graduate Assistantship positions at Maxwell. Jeremy majored in Political Science and Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Utah, and in 2004, graduated with two B.A.s and a Certificate in International Relations.
In addition to divorce and family law, Jeremy can assist those in the healthcare related fields to comply with HIPAA and other privacy and cybersecurity laws. In the event of a HIPAA investigation or breach, he can provide guidance and representation. He can also help clients avoid these issues by providing training, analyzing current policies and procedures, and drafting new policies to ensure compliance.

- Q. Do we need to make a financial disclosure to get a divorce in Utah? We have no children, no property.
- A: No. You can file a petition, pay the fee, wait 30 days (or apply to waive the waiting period), then file the agreement (called a stipulation) and final documents with the court. This website can help you prepare your documents, or you can hire an attorney to draft them.
