Jeffrey Robert Domingues
Burns & Hansen P.A.
I am an associate attorney with the law firm Burns & Hansen P.A. based in the Twin Cities of Minnesota. I primarily practice in the areas of real estate law, contract matters, and civil litigation.
I have significant experience addressing landlord-tenant disputes, including evictions, rent escrow matters, illegal activity provisions, and local and state ordinance violations. In civil matters I specialize in cases involving breaches of contract, property disputes, and building contractor cases.
I approach my cases with a strategy specifically tailed my clients' circumstances. I am willing and able to advocate for my client's needs, be that by negotiating settlements or aggressively pursuing litigation as the situation requires. I am empathetic to my clients' needs and goals and bring this passion to my legal practice.
Prior to joining Burns & Hansen, I served for two years as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Eric Hylden in Duluth, where I gained valuable experience analyzing complex legal issues in cases involving civil litigation, real estate, and family law. I leverage my experience from serving as a law clerk to my practice as an attorney.
I earned a bachelor's degree in history from Carleton College and received my Juris Doctor degree from the University of Minnesota Law School, where I served as a certified student attorney in the Immigration and Human Rights Clinic. In this role I represented affirmative asylum applicants during their asylum application process. While I now work primarily in Civil Law, I utilize my experiences as a student asylum attorney to best serve the needs of my diverse clients.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and my cat Chester, staying abreast of current affairs - foreign and domestic, weightlifting, and my diverse taste in music.
