The Beltz Law Firm
Attorney Jeffrey Beltz established The Beltz Law firm with one thing in mind, “to provide affordable and effective legal service when it counts the most.” This goal has become our driving force as a law firm.
We understand that searching for an attorney is something that you would rather not have to do. We also understand that if you have begun your search to find the right attorney, that there are many choices out there with firms promising you everything under the sun to try to get your business. We respect our clients more than that. Being involved in litigation is tough. It is hard on the client who has been injured and desperately needs money to compensate them for their loss. It is just as difficult for the client who is being charged with a criminal offense and is facing the possibility of jail. And don’t forget the law firm you ultimately choose will be living through these experiences with you.
Without an attorney experienced in handling your particular matter, you could lose valuable time, leverage and quite possibly your case. There is no guarantee of the outcome in any case, but without experience and dedication to your particular matter you could end up with less than you deserve.
The three areas of law that have forged the backbone of The Beltz Law Firm are Personal Injury Law, Criminal Law, and Traffic Law. More than anything, it is you the potential client that has influenced the decision of Mr. Beltz to focus on these areas. Time and time again, you have contacted us with enlightening questions and concerns regarding these three areas.
We are not a “hammer” or “sharks” or even “bulldogs.” We are a law firm striving to provide solid legal service for our clients. The Beltz Law Firm makes only one promise in earnest. That promise is to have your best interest at heart in everything we do. Contact our firm now to see if we are the right firm for you.

- Q. Ticket issued I had no knowledge of and no responsibility for accident. What do I do? Requested court date to dispute
- A: Seems strange indeed. I would say Mr. Munsing's response is accurate. If the case is in Texas, you have a right to trial for tickets. By pleading not guilty you can go into a formal pre-trial hearing to discuss your case with a prosecutor. Hopefully that will resolve the issue.
- Q. I'm on parole a violation warrant has been issued without my knowledge I entered a substance abuse program
- A: Have you not talked to your parole officer? That is a question that you definitely need to work out with them as soon as possible.
- Q. I just completed probation it was deferred an was a felony charge. Since I'm done with probation can I use a gun
- A: The answer to that question depends more on the charged offense than the level of charge. The general provision that creates the offense of unlawful carrying of a weapon is as follows: Sec. 46.02. UNLAWFUL CARRYING WEAPONS. (a) A person commits an offense if the person intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly carries on or about his or her person a handgun, illegal knife, or club if the person is not: (1) on the person's own premises or premises under the person's control; or (2) inside of or directly en route to a motor vehicle or watercraft that is owned by the person or under the person's control. (a-1) A person commits an offense if the person intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly carries on or about his or her person a handgun in a motor vehicle or watercraft that is owned by the person or under the person's control at any time in which: (1) the handgun is in plain view, unless the person is licensed to carry a handgun under Subchapter H, Chapter 411, Government Code, and the handgun is carried in a shoulder or belt holster; or (2) the person is: (A) engaged in criminal activity, other than a Class C misdemeanor that is a violation of a law or ordinance regulating traffic or boating; (B) prohibited by law from possessing a firearm; or (C) a member of a criminal street gang, as defined by Section 71.01. (a-2) For purposes of this section, "premises" includes real property and a recreational vehicle that is being used as living quarters, regardless of whether that use is temporary or permanent. In this subsection, "recreational vehicle" means a motor vehicle primarily designed as temporary living quarters or a vehicle that contains temporary living quarters and is designed to be towed by a motor vehicle. The term includes a travel trailer, camping trailer, truck camper, motor home, and horse trailer with living quarters. (a-3) For purposes of this section, "watercraft" means any boat, motorboat, vessel, or personal watercraft, other than a seaplane on water, used or capable of being used for transportation on water. (b) Except as provided by Subsection (c), an offense under this section is a Class A misdemeanor. (c) An offense under this section is a felony of the third degree if the offense is committed on any premises licensed or issued a permit by this state for the sale of alcoholic beverages.
