Jed Louis Kurzban
Since 1995, I've been an attorney at Kurzban Kurzban Tetzeli & Pratt, P.A., where I became an equity partner in 2013. As the managing partner of our esteemed 40+ year law firm, I lead with a commitment to excellence in representing our clients. With a focus on trial law, my dedication to securing maximum compensation and justice for our clients is reflected in the verdicts and settlements I've obtained.
I graduated from the University of Alabama in 1992 with honors, earning a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Miami School of Law in 1995. Admitted to the bar in Florida, the United States District for the Southern District of Florida, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, I expanded my practice to Hawaii in 2015 as Of Counsel with Damon Key Leong Kupchak Hastert.
My legal practice spans tort law, particularly in medical malpractice, product liability, and personal injury cases nationwide, with a focus on kidney disease misdiagnosis or improper treatment. I've achieved favorable outcomes as lead trial counsel in significant cases, securing justice for our clients.
Active in legal associations, I've served as vice-chair of the Dade County Bar Association Trial Section and on the Board of Directors for the Florida Justice Association. I've advocated for injured victims' rights in Tallahassee and collaborated with the University of Miami School of Law to enhance attorney ethics education.
A member of various bar associations, including the Dade County Bar, the Florida Bar, and the Hawaii Bar, I hold AV rating by Martindale-Hubbell and have been recognized as a Distinguished Lawyer, Super Lawyer, Lawyer of Distinction, and among the 10 best Attorneys in South Florida.
I am the author of “How Justice Is Served”, a comprehensive trial guide for litigation attorneys and host the podcast “Serving Justice with Jed Kurzban”.
