Jeanette M. Colella
Associate Attorney at Tabono Law
Jeanie has been a licensed attorney in Michigan since 1993 and has spent more than two decades utilizing her legal degree at law firms, non-profits, and corporate entities.
Jeanie began her practice in 1993 at Culver, Knowlton, Even and Franks, practicing in the areas of corporate and real estate law. After several years in that capacity, Jeanie left private practice to join the Child Abuse Council for Muskegon County, serving as Executive Director for over five years. Jeanie managed a budget of over $600,000 and 10 employees and expanded services for children throughout Muskegon County that had been physically and sexually abused.
In 2010, Jeanie left as Director of the Child Abuse Center to more fully engage in teaching and training. She taught at Muskegon Community College and Baker College in the areas of human services and business law and management, utilizing her business acumen from private practice and her non-profit experience. Jeanie then took her teaching and development experience to UFP Industries where she developed and operated their corporate university. She held that role for five years until she elected to return home to Muskegon and once again engage in litigation support and firm management.
Jeanie brings years of training and business experience to her role at Tabono Law. In addition to her wealth of knowledge, she is a trained civil and family law mediator, rounding out the incredible resources that she can provide to clients and the Western Michigan Legal Community. Regardless the job title or business type, what ties all of Jeanie's vast experiences together is the opportunity to work with people to help them achieve their goals.
Jeanie is married and has two daughters. She tries to spend as much time as possible outside: walking, hiking, swimming, and skiing.
