I enjoy developing legal strategies with my clients.
I concentrate my practice on business and real estate transactions and disputes, with a particular fondness for working with international clients.
From 2017 to 2019, I lived and worked as the senior counsel in the Middle East, where I advised C-suite executives on quarter-billion-dollar PPP projects. My clients are typically either small to medium-size businesses or individuals, U.S. residents conducting business overseas or foreign nationals investing in the U.S. I have handled international business transactions across Canada, Western Europe, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
Additionally, I represent clients in federal court, having been admitted to several federal courts and a federal trial bar in the U.S. Importantly, I enjoy learning about my clients' businesses to understand how to effectively represent his/her interests.
On a personal note, I have lived or spent extended periods in various parts of the world including Riyadh, Ukraine, Italy, France, Cyprus, and Mexico City, among other remarkable places. It's always a wonderful experience to meet my clients in person for the first time, often long after I've started representing them, simply because our paths have crossed in their locale. I can confidently say that I love to travel. Additionally, I am an avid pickleball player. I try to be on the courts every morning starting at 7 am, unless I am scheduled for a conference call or a court hearing.

- Saudi Arabia passed its first law against sexual harassment in 2018. KFSH&RC, a highly international organization, took the initiative to cover this important topic for its diverse workforce. Putting together a presentation on such a sensitive subject for people from various cultural and religious backgrounds was complex and delicate task. The fact that the presentation was well-received by both executives and employees from around 100 countries is a testament to the success of this initiative.

- Q. I have been paying my 36 year owner financed mortgage by mail for 35 and a half years. I have 6 monthly payments left.
- A: How did you "buy" this home? Typically, title transfers on the day of closing and then you pay monthly payments on a mortgage where your home is treated as collateral for the mortgage. But you own your home from the very beginning. Unless this was a lease contract with option to buy, then you need to exercise your option.
I think you should consult with an attorney to review your documents and advise properly, otherwise we'll all be just guessing what is happening in your situation.
Good luck.
- Q. Civil litigation on a real estate lis pendon case
- A: There is no way anyone can sift through this on this platform and provide legal guidance.
Please note that a lawyer at the title company is not your lawyer, so that s/he does not represent you and does not have your best interest in mind. Certainly, you must retain your own lawyer to figure all this out.
Good luck.
- Q. I recorded a quit claim deed in polk county fl but the grantor name was incorrect. What can I record to correct this?
- A: If it was merely a spelling mistake, then depending on the state, you should file a corrective deed, it may be called slightly different in your state. You cannot entirely change the grantor, you'd have to do a separate conveyance.
